This darling from Duoro gives a deep red hue with gorgeous complexity. Clear notes of fruit, but also a undertone of earthiness that gives it personality. On the palate, it’s precise and elegant. The wine has a long finish with great aging potential. The wine is comprised 45% Touriga Franca, 30% Touriga Nacional, 15% Tinta Roriz, and 10% Tinto Cão. Sitting at 550 meters above sea level on schist soil. The grapes are manually harvested and go through cold pre-fermentation maceration, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control. Malolactic fermentation happens in the stainless steel vats and French oak barrels from different cooperages.
